notes

This was my first 11 gallon batch that I split with two different yeasts. Since I love lagers and kolsch I decided this recipe would be the one to experiment with. I also tried a Hochkruz Mash step schedule It made super fermentable wort and the yeast chewed right through it! Both beers were excellent!

Kolsch

Appearance: Straw, pale yellow

Aroma: Malt, spicy/floral hop notes.

Flavor: Malt forward beer with a very nice spicy/floral hop notes that brings beer together.

Mouthfeel: Light bodied, crisp and clean.

Helles Bock

Appearance: Straw, pale yellow, fluffy white head.

Aroma: Floral, wildflower, potpourri, spring showers.

Flavor: Malt forward beer with floral hop flavor very in front.

Mouthfeel: Light bodied, crisp and clean.
